Welcome to Geoff's Photo Restoration Program

It is designed to take a file containing a digitised COLOUR slide or a scanned print in which the colours have deteriorated with age and attempt to restore it to something closer to the original. The same result can be achieved with common photo-processing software but here the process is entirely automatic and requires no intervention by the user.

Click on the "Browse" button below to select the faded picture.

The file must be readable and currently only jpg or JPG files are accepted.
There is also a maximum file size of about 1.5MB.

Then click on the "Upload" button below.

The file will be uploaded, this may take a couple of minutes.
The program will confirm if the upload is successful.

Notes

Your files, both the original and restored versions, are automatically deleted from the website when the restored one is displayed.

I have made some changes to the code; and you will find that the results were slightly different in the past. In all cases tested the results were as good or better.
